Job Objectives
Develops scope, creates budget and manages large construction projects and expansion of existing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Works outdoors at plant locations to obtain measurements and other required information needed to perform tasks.
Complies with all environmental, health, safety & training policies, procedures and requirements.
Works with internal resources such as draftsmen and engineers to accomplish project design.
Designs, implements, and monitors facility projects
Applies knowledge of engineering to solve operations, safety, and environmental problems.
Makes presentations to various levels of management to explain/justify projects.
Complies with Environmental Policy.
Physical Requirements
Requires spatial perception, motor coordination, finger and manual dexterity, numerical skills, eye-hand-foot coordination.
Must be able to work in a heavy industrial production
environment, exposed to extreme weather elements, noise, vibrations, dust
and temperature extremes
Ability to work wearing personal protective equipment (PPE)
Must be able to perform work and lifting, with frequent lifting up to 20 pounds and infrequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
Standing for prolonged periods, walking, reaching, lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, fingering and feeling, climbing stairs and ladders, working at high elevations, balancing on slippery or irregular surfaces.
Ability to speak, hear and see.

Education
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering field.
OTHER
Must be able to use rational reasoning to solve practical problems.
Must take and pass drug tests and physical exams as required.
Must be able to read, write, use basic algebra, geometry and shop math and understand written, verbal or diagrammatic instructions, including instructions, manuals, rules, regulations, etc.
Must be able to communicate with superiors and subordinates
Must make decisions based on experience, sound personal judgment and verifiable data
Must deal effectively with people and work in stressful situations.
May work extended hours and weekends and performs other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
